Teaching Expertise at IDEA ELC

What makes the teaching and learning at IDEA different?
Our Founding Director, Ashleigh, was appointed for her educational expertise, experience and background. This was because IDEA Education is committed to providing the highest quality education for all children that attend its schools. The Governing Body at IDEA ELC is made up of educationalists that are all passionate that the quality of teaching and learning is one of its main priorities. Complemented by the Governors, our Founding Director is in a well qualified position to commit to delivering our promises for high standards. From the beginning of our journey we have only recruited staff that are qualified and or experienced. Each member of staff was recruited because of their unique talents that contribute to a strong team of professionals.

What can you promise us?

Your child will always be taught by a member of staff that is KHDA approved and holds a qualification in Early Years. For children aged 9 months – 12 months, the teacher must have at least Cache Level 2 and a qualification specific to babies for example a degree in Midwifery. For children aged 1 year to 2 year 4 months, we can commit to a promise that your child’s teacher will have at least 5 years of experience, if not more, and will hold a Cache Level 3 qualification. Children older than 2 years 4 months, up to the age of 6 years, will always be taught by a teacher that holds a degree plus an early years qualification. Some of our staff even hold Masters degrees. We can also promise that our teachers will share their professional knowledge and work together to maintain high standards across the center. All of our staff are given access to thirty hours of professional learning to mentor each other and to continue to further their skills and knowledge.

Why does this matter?

We know that early years and teaching are very specialist. It is only respectful to those talented teachers that have given years of their lives to studying, to accredit them with the acknowledgement that teaching, regardless of the age of the children, is a profession. At IDEA Early Learning Center, 100% of our staff said that they feel valued when they were surveyed.

How can we find out more?
