With a focus on language, literacy and communication, the Creative Curriculum helps children to be ready for their transition to ‘big-school’ after IDEA ELC. We maintain the high teaching standards of a school, in our purposeful built, supportive and welcoming Early Learning Center.

The Creative Curriculum

The Creative Curriculum is deep in knowledge of child development with careful consideration of the latest research in the field of early childhood education.  It offers unique experiences that tie directly with each child’s level of ability with their potential and growth in mind during every step of the learning process.

This observation-based assessment program is used to gather and organize meaningful data quickly.  It is based on 38 research-based objectives for development and learning. Students move through these objectives which include milestones and objectives that are found in other curricula making the transition to primary and elementary schools seamless.

The Creative Curriculum is designed with studies throughout the year which are full of hands-on, project-based investigations.  Through these studies children’s confidence, creative and critical thinking skills are developed and nurtured.  Questioning skills, inquiry and discovering information are all at the forefront of the learning in each class. Students are encouraged to ask questions, formulate answers, and share information gained.  Sharing and discussing ideas and thoughts is paramount and woven into every aspect of your child’s day.

We implement the Creative Curriculum because it covers all areas of child development and content learning and defines the knowledge, skills and behaviors that are critical to children’s future success in school and in life.

KG2 Timetable (aged 5-6 years)

Our KG2 Teachers adapt the KG1 timetable to reflect the age and stage of the children. When the children are ready, they reduce the amount of time spent on less formal activities such as exploration and increase the time spent on focused teaching. They also increase the time children spend at the library and incorporate significantly longer exposure to reading, writing, mathematics and discovery teaching. Our KG2 children will also spend time in their third term visiting feeder schools and being exposed to older children ready for their transition.

We are welcoming registrations for pre-KG, KG1 and KG2 September 2017. Visit us for a tour, meet our staff, experience our facilities and see how much our founding children enjoy the Creative Curriculum. Email us on or call us on 800 4332 352.
